¡Hola y bienvenidos! Hello and welcome.
For the past year I have been on a professional development journey in search of the meaning, importance, and strategies for teaching, global education. Here on this website, it is my goal to share my research and findings with you so that together we can strengthen our curricula and better prepare our students for their future as leaders in our local and global communities. I hope that this site will begin an on-going conversation between myself and anyone who chooses to use it.
Global education encourages students to develop skills in four major competencies. They are 1) Investigate the world, 2) Recognize perspectives, 3) Communicate ideas, and finally 4) Take action. Our young people are growing up in an ever-shrinking world and we need to ensure that they have the skills to thrive in cooperative, problem-solving, environments where empathy reins supreme.
